Served from March 1943 to November 1945, at the ages of 18 to 21. Was a Forward Observer and Radio Operator with the 175th Field Artillery Battalion. Received the Bronze Star, French Croix De Guerre, Sharpshooter 03, WWII Victory, and Distinguished Service in the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign. Fought in battles in Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno, North Ardennes, and Po Valley.
