Served as a member of the 57th anti-tank millimeter gun crew . Participated in the European Theater of Operations at Normandy, Ardennes and Central Europe. Then joined the 101st Screaming Eagle Division. Fought in Bastogne where they were called the 'Battered Bastards of Bastogne'.
