Enlisted November 16, 1942 in Albany, New York. From the coast of France, fought all the way across France. In the Battle for Krinkelt, which is where the Germans broke through for the Bulge. Was then in the Battle of the Bulge. First Infantry to cross the Rhine at Remagen. Earned additional medals for the battles of the Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. With the 99th Infantry Division until the day they crossed the Danube. Discharged December 21, 1945. Combat Infantryman Badge, Bronze Star, American Service Medal, Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal.
