Army 630th Tank Destroyer Battalion; was the driver of the tank. Went ashore in France just 19 days after the big invasion. Fought up through France; was in Paris when it was liberated; into Belgium and on into Germany where he was wounded in the Huertgen Forest area; sent back to the States.
