7th Ferrying Group. Came to Great Falls, Missouri January 7th 1942, on their way to Alaska. The Unit stayed in Great Falls and started the base Gore Field. He stayed with his unit the whole time and worked himself up to rank of Mess Sergeant for the base. He started as a baker and cook when he came to Great Falls.
