Served on USS Biloxi CL-80 at Leyte Gulf, Iwo Jima and Okinawa. 40 Millimeter guns. Petty Officer. All over the South Pacific; one of the first ships to go into Nagasaki, Japan after the bomb to rescue prisoners of war. Hit with a Japanese kamikaze plane. Credited for shooting down 8 planes and sinking 3 ships.
