Corporal. Served in European Theater of Operations, Battle of the Bulge, Central Germany, Rhine River (Remagen), 3rd Reich. Seriously wounded in Leipzig, Germany on April 13, 1945. Awarded Bronze Star, Combat Infantry Badge, European Theater of Operations Ribbon with 3 Battle Clusters and Purple Heart. Spent 3 1/2 years in Army hospital.
