Activity During WWII

Worked in the Army Post Office at the New York Port of Embarkation. Was Chief File Clerk in Personnel and Security Section which handled records of all military personnel at the Army Post Office. Filed correspondence, daily bulletins, special and general orders, and memorandums, numerically and by subject. Kept disciplinary cards on military personnel. Wrote letters of eligibility for promotions from private to private first class. Made out requisition slips for all supplies for section to Maintenance and Supply. Kept records of supplies. Cut stencils for Daily Information Bulletin of the Army Post Office. Typed correspondence on enlisted personnel.
