Activity During WWII

Entered through Cherbourg, France 1944. Scout/sniper, transported to Eastern France, dismounted, turned north and proceeded through France. Alsace, Lorraine, into East Germany to Saarbrucken, when wounded. Sent back through several hospitals in France and England. Shipped aboard the Queen Elizabeth to New York City for 48 hour evaluation, assigned to Convalescent Hospital at Camp Edwards Falmouth, Massachusetts. Rehabilitation there early May to June 7, 1945. Awarded a Certificate of Disability Discharge. Home in Taunton, Massachusetts 7 June 7, 1945.
