Activity During WWII

Served as a Sniper in Company E, 101st Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry Division, France. Wounded in Moyenvic, France, November 8, 1944 while taking a strategic hill fortified with German 88s. Evacuated to a hospital in England and later returned to his unit after recovering from wounds. Decorated with the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
