Activity During WWII

Served as an airplane commander of a 10-man crew flying a B-24 Liberator aircraft in the 737th Squadron of the 454th Bomb Group (Heavy) in the 304th Wing of the 15th Air Force in Italy. Flew 44 combat missions over enemy territory. Targets he attacked were airdromes, marshalling yards, aircraft factories, oil refineries and munitions factories in Italy,Yugoslavia, Austria, Bulgaria, Hungary, Rumania, France and Germany. He was awarded Air Medal and 4 Oak Leaf Clusters.
