Activity During WWII

Entered the service in April 1942. Served with the Tank Corps in the 14th Armored Division. Expert marksman with carbine and pistol. Fought in the Rhineland, Central Europe Campaign. In one battle, was able to reach tank to return fire on the enemy, rescuing trapped soldiers. For heroic efforts received the Bronze Star in February 1945. Also awarded 2 Overseas Service Bars and 1 Service Strip, the American Campaign, European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Campaign, Battle Stars and the WWII Victory Medal. Honorably discharged in January 1946.
