Served in the Pacific Theater. Killed at the age of 20 on February 5, 1945 on Leyte Island in the Battle of the Philippines. Buried in the Military Cemetery on Luzon. His body was returned home in February 1949 for burial in the New Montefiore Cemetery in Pinelawn, Long Island, New York.
