Radio operator. Fought in the Battle of the Bulge in the 84th Infantry Division, 9th Army. Spearheaded crossing of Rohr River in Northern Germany. Served with the British Army in La Roche, Belgium, when met up with Patton's 3rd Army. Supported the 7th and 9th Divisions in crossing of the Rhine. Went to Elbe River, 47 miles from Berlin, when the war ended.
