Service from May 18, 1942 to June 23, 1945. Member of Company K, 12th Infantry, 4th Division. Wounded in combat June 8, 1944 in the Normandy Invasion (Utah Beach), Normandy, France. Received the bronze star, Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, European African Middle Eastern Medal, Victory Medal, and the Combat Infantryman Badge. Deceased July 20, 2001.
