Activity During WWII

Served in the 478th Base Headquarters in Airborne Squadron. An instructor at Wright Field. Worked on the Manhattan Project. Retired at Patterson Field, Ohio on January 31, 1944 after more than 30 years. Allowed to retire as Second Lieutenant, his highest rank held during his career. Received rank of battlefield commission in France. Buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
