Enlisted in California September 1942. Trained at Camp Bullis; winter training at Camp McCoy. D-Day training with the 2nd Infantry Division in Ireland. D-Day 2nd wave landing at Omaha Beach. After reclaiming Normandy, unit pushed through to St Lo, then on to the Brittany Peninsula, to Belgium in the Battle of the Bulge and eventually to Plzen, Germany and stand down.
