He was a tool and dye maker and a dye tryout leader in class. At the Ford Rouge Plant, he and 2 other dye makers, in 1942, were assigned by Ford to build the B-24 Bomber Engine Super Charger, for the Willow Run, Missouri Bomber Plant.
