Activity During WWII

189th Field Artillery, 45th Division. Transferred to 45th Military Police Company, then to 1825th Service Unit and then to Military Police Officer Candidate School. He joined the 281st Military Police Company in Oran, Algeria, was appointed Motor Officer and a tour of duty downtown Oran. Then was assigned to Air Force Headquarters in Algeria with same duties as in Oran and shared responsibility for security of Air Force Headquarters, Mediterranean Theater of Operations, U. S. Army (MTOUSA) War room and General Eisenhower billet. Then the 281st became part of the Rome area command.
