Enlisted in the U.S. Army; unassigned. Assigned to Air Corps at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri. Assigned to Army Air Forces Basic Training Center (BTC) Number 1. Later assigned to Army Air Forces Redistribution Command Headquarters in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Transferred with Command Headquarters to Bowman Field, Kentucky. Occupation was Army Air Forces Supply Technician 826. Later sent for overseas training at Kearns Army Air Forces Ordnance. Then transferred to Seattle, Washington Port of Embarkation (POE). Scratched at dock because of too much service. Sent to Salt Lake City, then Louisville, then discharged. Earned the American Theatre Ribbon, the Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Served from March 20, 1942 to January 11, 1946.
