Served as a carpenter. Performed duties with the 20th Armored Division in France, Belgium, Holland, Germany and Austria. Worked as a carpenter in the construction of bridges and drains under road beds. Used pneumatic drills in drilling holes through large timbers on bridge construction. Bolted the various bridge sections together; using all carpenter's hand tools.
