Graduate of West Point, January 9, 1943. Served as company commander of F Company, 262nd Infantry Regiment, 66th Division. Killed on December 24, 1944; gave away his own life jacket and saved many men on the sinking Leopoldville. Awarded a Silver Star for gallantry in action; European Theater.
