1944 to 1946. Service number 4014-377. Served in the SPARS (U.S. Coast Guard Women's Reserve), cutting recruit's hair, Ship's Service Men's Barber Third Class. Stationed in Palm Beach, Florida and Washington, D.C. Received the first Ship's Service Men's Barber recognition and emblem whose insignia was a crossed scissors and comb.
