Activity During WWII

Entered service in October 1942. Received radio training in Chicago and Dallas. Stationed in Chubha, India from September 1943 until October 1, 1944 where he made 77 trips over the Hump plus many turnarounds. Also served missions in Burma; flying supplies, evacuating G.I. and Chinese wounded. Accrued 654 combat flying hours. Received the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air medal with Clusters and a Presidential Citation.
