Enlisted Reserves Corps July 12, 1942 active duty. Basic at Fort Eustis, Virginia on April 5, 1943. Graduated Anti-aircraft Officer Candidate School (OCS) at Camp Davis, North Carolina. Graduated Infantry School from Fort Benning, Georgia in April 1944. Records personnel division, Manila, Philippine Islands. Japanese Occupation and POW processing with the 25th Infantry; Commanding Officer of Records personnel Division on Luzon. Discharged at Fort Bragg on September 10, 1946.
