Activity During WWII

IN THE EARLY 1930'S, HE WAS A MEMBER OF COMPANY C, 110TH INFANTRY. ON APRIL 13, 1932 HE HELD THE RANK OF CORPORAL. FROM MAY 18, 1933 TO DECEMBER 21, 1933, HE WAS ENROLLED IN THE FORESTRY DEPARTMENT OF CIVILIAN CONSERVATION CORPS AT HICKS RUN, PENNSYLVANIA. HE ENTERED THE MILITARY SERVICE ON FEBRUARY 21, 1944 AND SERVED IN THE EUROPEAN THEATER AS A HEAVY MACHINE GUNNER. HE WAS A SERGEANT IN THE 112TH INFANTRY REGIMENT AND DURING ONE EPISODE HE WAS THE ONLY SURVIVOR OF HIS 12-MAN SQUAD.
