Inducted, December 1942. Went overseas February 1944; gunner and radio operator, B-17 G Aircraft. April 2, 1944, bombing mission Tortorella, Italy to Steyr, Austria. Aircraft shot down, parachuted out, but died of injuries. Buried at Lorraine Memorial Cemetery, St. Avold, France.
