Activity During WWII

Entered service on January 13, 1941 with Battery F, 204th Coast Artillery, Anti-Aircraft, National Guard, Ruston, Louisiana and served one year. Following Pearl Harbor, attended officers school. Graduated as 2nd Lieutenant, Anti-Aircraft. Served in England, North Africa and Italy for three years. Captain in the 473rd Infantry Regiment until enemy surrendered in Italy. Participated in the invasion of Southern France with the 15th Air Force on special assignment. Discharged in December of 1945. Participated in six major battles.
