Activity During WWII

DURING THE LANDING ON GUAM, WHILE AIDING HIS SECTION IN GETTING A STALLED AMPHIBIOUS TRUCK OUT OF THE LINE OF ENEMY FIRE TO SAVE A BATTERY GUN, HE WAS FATALLY WOUNDED AND DIED AS A RESULT OF HIS ACTION. THIS HAPPENED ON JULY 21, 1944, THE FIRST DAY LANDING ON GUAM.
